Arches National Park - Utah

Arches National Park.  Also Moab, Utah.
We went horseback riding.  My horse's name was Barney.  We got to trot during the ride.

We went rock climbing and it was really fun.

We hiked to the "Delicate Arch" and I almost died because there was a giant pit with no guard rail.

This is Mom and me with our "mule deer" faces.  Look closely and you might see mule deer behind us.

Capital Reef - Utah

Capital Reef
There was an old Mormon settlement here with orchards that still had apples we could pick.  The were very yummy!  There were also pictures carved in stones by native people about a 1,000 years old.  They are called petroglyphs.

I wanted to adopt a real prairie dog, but a lot of them have the BUBONIC PLAGUE!  So I adopted a stuffy instead.  The money I paid went towards saving the prairie dogs from the PLAGUE!  It's name is Peekaboo, Peko for short.

We met 2 people on the trail who heard there was a bear up ahead.  They asked if we wanted to go with them because they felt it would be safer with more people.  We walked over the hill and we saw a mamma black bear with 2 cubs.
